Peer Critique
Region: Avon | City: Bristol
Peer Critique is an independent project based in Bristol and organised by Elin Thomas. Monthly peer critique sessions held in a variety of art venues across the city provide an opportunity for artists seeking to further their current practice to present their work to fellow artists.
The sessions are aimed at exploring critical debate provoked by the work presented, and can be used by artists in a variety of ways: to practise presentation of work outside more formal contexts; present work in progress or creative ideas; listen to how other artists approach talking about their work; develop connections with other artists and studio groups.
Artists are requested to commit to attending at least three or four critique sessions in addition to their presentation. Each peer critique session is limited to 25 artists so booking in advance to attend or present is essential.
