Outsider

Outsider is based in Falmouth, and run by artist curator Steven Paige. Its focus is contemporary moving image practice and key concerns are the lack of suitable venues and infrastructure locally; the regional context in the South West for this practice; initiating a debate around moving image practice and establishing a network of like-minded practitioners.
In 2006 Outsider, working closely with Cornwall Film Festival, organised an exhibition of video work presented in outdoor spaces within the Princess Pavilion Gardens. To accompany the exhibition a debate about artists’ use of moving image was held at University College Falmouth.
