Networking in the UK

31st March, from 11.00am to 3pm, at Old Horfield Police Station, Sommerville Rd, Bishopston, Bristol.

The networking day included a presentation by Kangaroo Kourt, from Bristol and Red Nile, from Sunderland, on each group’s origins and projects run-putting on shows in alternative spaces, the decision to network in the UK, and the development process-planning process for future collaborative project.
These presentations were followed by a short talk by Stroud Valley Artspace on their live art activities and a short performance by Bulgarian Internet Girlfriend, part of the Kangaroo Kourt group.

The event was aimed at sharing information, meeting and becoming more familiar with like-minded artists’ groups developing new relationships for future collaborations.

ArtspaceLifespace, Autonomous Art, BlackOut Arts, Media Arts Bath, Mivart Arts, Red Nile, South Central, Situations, Stroud Valley Arts, Studio 6, Totterdown Arts Trail were some of the groups invited to attend to have discussions and share ideas.

Ivon Oates, from We3 in Dorset, was commissioned to produce a report and a visual essay.
