 Organisations, Groups and Networks

All groups, at some point in their development, need to make informed decisions about their organisational structure – which is the best model to use for various reasons. This may include group size (some groups expand very quickly), financial reasons and organisational development. Not only new groups need this information – existing groups might require a change in dynamic or develop sufficiently to justify formalising the group as a company or co-operative.

The links below will take you to existing sites for advice on each area, to sample case-studies which alias have worked on and to other useful information. Many of the issues inter-relate, so cross-links are provided. Case-studies are provided by groups who have received alias support. All support is given confidentially, so it is the choice of the groups as to whether they share their experience on the website. If your group would like to add their experience to the website, please email your case study to the webmaster.
