 how we work

alias advisory service draws upon a pool of knowledge and experience already existing in the community of artists in the South West. It currently operates with a core group of 8 artist advisors, who act as contacts for a first diagnostic meeting. The advisory service also employs specialist support when required and identified by the particular needs of a group (ie legal, organisational). It is vital that alias contacts are also artists, as, whatever the needs of a group are, the emphasis is always on the development of a creative practice, in terms of quality and integrity. alias is unique in providing a flexible, open-ended and bespoke relationship lasting for sustained lengths of time.

alias contacts work with a group not in order to achieve predetermined outcomes, but so that they might enter into a dialogue with other artists. This dialogue may include passing on information and giving advice.

alias support is currently only available to groups in the South West Region. However, the resource pages on this site are open to all.
