Textile Forum South West (TFSW) is a contemporary ‘textile hub’ for the southwest. It is a non-profit making, voluntary organisation to promote and develop textiles in all forms for the educational, cultural and economic benefit of the region. It is a point of exchange for people who love making, thinking or talking about TEXTILES.
Textile Forum South West aims to develop activities that raise the profile of textiles. The Forum promotes networking and textile debate and creates opportunities for practitioners (such as updating textile skills and introducing new concepts and practice). Recent activities and events include conferences, exhibitions, seminars and workshops.TFSW encourages regional collaboration and is steered by a management committee of 15-20 textile professionals. This includes representation from textile practitioners (including regional textile groups), museums and galleries, industry and commerce, education, and arts organisations.
Membership of TFSW is open to anyone over 18 years of age with a professional or personal interest in textiles and is not limited to those living in the region. We have over 150 members and the Forum encourages active participation by all, especially those who enjoy sharing their passion for textiles.
